About the Author
Father David L. Toups, ordained in 1997, is a priest of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Florida. He attended both the Gregorian and Angelicum Universities in Rome, receiving his doctorate in dogmatic theology in 2004. He has served as seminary professor and dean of students. In 2010, he concluded his term of service as Executive Director of the Secretariat of Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Currently, he is the pastor of Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida.
