About the Author
Following his ordination in 1985, Father John Horn, SJ served in the Jesuit Refugee Service in Bataan, Philippines. This assignment was followed by teaching in secondary education in the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus. In 1992, he was privileged to be a co-founder of the Institute for Priestly Formation (IPF), an institute dedicated to serving diocesan seminarians and priests. In the Institute, he served as spiritual director and teacher in the ministry of The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and in administration. Currently, Father Horn is Professor of Spiritual and Pastoral Theology at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida.
