About the Author
Bishop David Ricken studied theology at St. Meinrad School of Theology in Indiana and the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium where he earned his graduate degree in sacred theology. He attended the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome where he received his JCL in Canon Law in 1989. In 2000, Pope John Paul II ordained him as the Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and he became the ordinary in 2001. Pope Benedict XVI named Bishop Ricken the twelfth bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin in 2008.
